Meet Nate

For as long as I can remember movies have been my passion. Even when I was a toddler movies have fascinated me, filled me with joy, made me feel happy, and most of all made me feel at home. Going to the movie theater was a church-like experience for me, I was constantly dragging my parents to whatever kids movie was playing (sorry you had to see Hoodwinked and Happily Never After, Dad). One of the key aspects of my passion was the movie review section in the newspaper. Every Friday, I had my parents put the movie section in front of my door so I could wake up and see how many stars a certain movie got. I even had my parents laminate the reviews so I could bring them to school or carry them around with me. Movies have always been my driving force.

Obviously over the years, my taste in movies has evolved. I went from loving kids movies to being a fan of comedies and superhero movies, then horror movies and action flicks, stretching over to more dramatic fare, and then ultimately having an interest in just about every genre. The Oscars have become a holiday to me, it's like my Super Bowl, every year I find myself eagerly anticipating the event and making predictions about whose going to get nominated and whose going to win. I go to the movie theater almost every weekend to catch up with whatever new releases have my interest or even to revisit a movie I really enjoyed. I also have a constantly growing movie collection, over my lifetime I've collected over 600 movies.
